Testimonials from Satisfied Patients

“I highly recommend Dr. Elinor Descovitch and the entire wonderful staff at New Paltz Eye Care. I have been a patient of Dr. Eli for over 25 years with many difficult and challenging conditions. Her kindness, caring, professionalism and expertise has kept me seeing well in those years. When I was in despair, she was able to truly change my entire future. Dr. Eli continues to be not only up to date but ahead of the current trends in eye care with the latest technology. Such admiration and appreciation. Connie is the most professional and caring optician. I have never looked so good in glasses. The entire staff is most courteous, joyful and once again, professional. Glynnis, Kateri, Georgina and all. Such wonderful people and a delight to be in their presence.I am most grateful to all and have the utmost admiration for this health care facility!”

“Thank you so much to Dr. Descovich and staff at New Paltz Eye Care! If I lived near New Paltz, Dr. D. would be my eye doctor. We were on our way to New Jersey when I had an emergency issue with my eyes. The office was closed, but they stayed open late and agreed to help me. I walked into the office with extreme pain and could hardly open my eyes, and left feeling so much better. Dr. D. called me first thing the next morning, made an appointment with a local doctor in NJ and also called and made an appointment with my regular doctor back home. Called in a prescription for me and spoke to me on the phone three times the next morning. She and her sister went above and beyond what most providers would have done. I would highly recommend this office to anyone. Thank you again for all you did for me!”

“I was impressed during the exam with the state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and the way the doctor used her computer to create an instant digital record of her findings. I now have a nice thin plastic card for my wallet containing my prescription, and the comfort of knowing that other clinical data gleaned from my exam is available in the cloud, should I be away from home and find myself in need of the information. Dr. Descovich and I chatted a bit about the professional relationship she shared with her sister, who now took me under her wing to choose my new frames. This was another fun part of the visit. In chatting with Connie, I learned more about these two siblings who, since 2007, have created a wonderful private practice that is so different from the commercial eye care establishments found in the shopping malls that surround our town.”
